New U.S. currency launches. A new $100 bill is here from years in the making to prevent counterfeiting. A PPN service review.

PPN Service Review: The new $100 bill offers a variety of new security features that took years to develop. These new enhancements are designed to prevent counterfeiting but almost can be mistaken for money used in a board game. The advanced security features include a blue 3-D Security Ribbon (bells changing into 100's), the Bell in the Inkwell that changes color, and offers a simpler way to verify that a $100 is real. If you’ve noticed a person raising a bill into the air, it isn’t over. If you hold the bill to the light you can see an image of Benjamin Franklin to the right of the portrait. These images are visible from both sides of the note.

These are just some of the new features and to know more and to watch the video, access www.newmoney.gov/uscurrency/redesigned100.htm.

Jersey Mike's Subs Steak Sandwich | A PPN food review.

Jersey Mike's Subs Steak Sandwich | PPN Food Review | www.ppnweb.com ~ The hunt for a good steak sandwich is always a trip well worth it when you find a good one. The Big Kahuna Steak Sandwich from Jersey Mike's Subs is a good option. On PPN's Food Review Scale from 1-10, we give it a 7.7. A tip would be to add a little less cheese to balance out the sandwich on the giant version that has 8 SLICES! Otherwise, good job. Apple switching its focus to the iPad mini? A PPN product review update.

It appears that Apple is switching its focus to the iPad mini. Focusing on the iPad mini verses the iPad Air is a smart move because if you own both products you will find that the iPad mini is easier to use because of its size. Portability and ability run side by side. The cost of the iPad mini is also giving you a price savings of about $100.00.

It’s simple, smaller and cheaper is better when you’re multitasking on a
9.7-inch pad and if you need anything smaller you can redirect your energies to working on the iPhone. If you have not looked into an Apple iPad mini or a mini tablet, it is definitely worth your attention.

Envision Youth School Supply Give-A-Way launched by PAOB to help students prepare for the new school year.

The Professional Association of Businesses (PAOB) launched a campaign to provide free school supplies to children in need called the Envision Youth School Supply Give-A-Way.
This event was held at the Norfolk Police Department Training Center. This campaign targeted those parents of children in need that reside and work within the City of Norfolk, Virginia. As kids start back to any school schedule, supplies are needed. Having the school supplies they need helps kids achieve and keeps them focused about learning at school. Not having proper supplies contributes to a number of reasons that prevent our youth from moving forward.
The PAOB along with its lead sponsors that included Councilwoman and PAOB member Angelia Williams and the Sheriff Bob McCabe Foundation were on location among others at this free event that had entertainment, vendors, and served up delicious barbecue.

Also, a very special thanks goes out to all the PAOB members, sponsors, volunteers, that included Councilwoman Angelia Williams, City of Norfolk, Quality Hands & Hearts Home Care, Karen Clements, Ammanuel Gerena, Ahmaude Griffin, Vonda Johnson, The Sheriff Bob McCabe Foundation, Norfolk Police Training Center, Binchmark Marketing & Agency Services, The Decker Law Firm, Graves Funeral Home, addyourevent.com, Congressman & Mrs. Scott Rigell, ClubHorton Entertainment, First Colonial Inn, Philip Michael Fashion For Men, O’Brien & Associates, SALT Concierge Services, LeClair Ryan, The Franklin Johnston Group and others that got involved.

Youth Enrichment Tour launched by PAOB for 5th & 6th graders to encourage education.

The PAOB makes another strong contribution toward leading change in area communities by targeting the youth through one of its development programs the PAOB Youth Enrichment Tours. The response from the kids ranged from: “I want to go to college”, “I want to become an engineer” to “I have to have a career backup if I'm playing sports”. These were some of the comments from more than twenty fifth and sixth graders from Richard Bowling Elementary School in NorfolkVirginia. These children took part in one of PAOB's aggressive educational programs targeted toward youth development called the Youth Enrichment Tour. This tour included youth mentoring and building communication skills while touring interesting places throughout Virginia that included the WVEC news studios, Sinclair Communications Radio Stations, RegentUniversity and enjoying lunch at the award-winning, Frankie's Place For RibsRestaurant. The children were driven in style and introduced to memorable experiences in a fifty-two passenger coach tour bus. Not only did this tour have an impact on area youth but on the tour guides as well. Support for this program even came from military students that were scheduled and took the same university tour as the youth saying they wish they had the same program when they were growing up.

The children were very appreciative and their ever evolving excitement was seen from receiving hands on experience that truly inspired us all. The PAOB would like to thank its sponsors and participants that included; BINCHMARK Marketing & Agency Services, Act-Up Integrated Youth Services, Richard Bowling Elementary School, The Norfolk Police Community Resource Officers, Frankie's Place For Ribs Restaurant, Beverly Zimmerman-Wright (Realtor), Cinema Cafe Theaters, WVEC, Regent University, and Sinclair Communications Radio Stations.

The Youth Enrichment Tours are a part of PAOB's Educational Development Programs for better communities. For additional information on the PAOB, PAOB members, programs, press, and more, please log on to www.societyofmembers.com.

A special thanks goes out to the PAOB members that participated in this program that included Dr. James Newby, II, Cinema Cafe Theaters, Stephanie Lambert, Beverly Zimmerman-Wright, Karen Clements, Dr. Sandeep Samudre and Frankie's Place For Ribs. The PAOB and its members are dedicated to the type of development that grows business but also reaches beyond clients to touch our communities.
